Episode 81: Cara
It's another episode! This week's guest is Cara, who is maybe the nicest Souls player I've talked to so far, which I make a point it tell her throughout the episode. Anyone willing to volunteer their time to help people through 5-2 in Demon's Souls is basically a saint as far as I'm concerned. Cara started from the beginning and worked her through the series chronologically, and likes to play through these games multiple times and has hundreds of hours across all the games. We talk about all five, and I'm 100% sure you will agree with me when I saw Cara is super nice.
As I usually do, I sent Cara an early copy of the episode to make sure she was ok with the edit. She sent me back a list of time stamped notes that I found super interesting, so I asked if I could include those. 35:26: “little” disappointed I’m underselling again. VERY disappointed. When I was playing through corpse tank area I forget the name, I went outside and took pictures of the full moon and sent it to my friends with the captions “FIGHT ME!!!”
44:40: I love that level but I can’t remember its name :D I have my own names for everything so lining those up official names is pretty hard for me
46:15: I couldn’t remember this at the time, but I got one piece of hatemail in DS3 and it was meant for someone else ☹ I did get a lot of rage quit disconnects in demon’s, I count those as a version of hatemail :D
47:10: I was also coming in directly from bloodborne (jan 16– apr16) which I came directly from dark souls 2 dlc (july 15 – dec 15). Aaand I just spent ten minutes researching my twitter for these dates
47:33: It was the thief class, not the assassin. Lol why am I always picking thiefs
48:05: I made a video of my iudex Gundry for my mom and a friend I was trying to get to play souls to prove that even experts die a lot it’s good for a laugh at least tl:dr 17 deaths and 59 minutes before I remembered I could block with my shield
51:25: ringed city invasions took over my life after we recorded this
53:15: it’s been almost four months and we still don’t know what’s next for from soft :/
